Becoming a Florida Broker:
Florida Real Estate Licensee must be active for at least 12 months during the preceding 5 years, and must complete and pass the 45 hour post license course for sales, must complete and pass the Brokers Pre-license course and pass the state exam for Brokers.
Real Estate Licensee's in other states or countries must be active for at least 12 months in their respective area (an original letter from their state licensing agency must be included in the state application) and then may take the Brokers Pre-license course and upon successfully passing the course, may then take the Florida Brokers Exam.
Prior to a brokers first renewal, a Post Broker Course of 30 hours on Broker Management and 30 hours on Investment Analysis must be successfully completed.
