STATE EXAM application & fingerprinting information:

    To obtain a Real Estate Sales Associate or Real Estate Broker license, you must take a state exam.  In order to take the state exam you must have passed your class exam and have been approved to take the state exam. 

    You can and should apply to the state for the exam before you begin classes because it may take the state weeks to approve your application for the exam.  You can apply either online or print out the application and mail it in.  If you want to apply online, click on our Online Links tab up top, then click on the first link labeled "Click HERE for Online License Application" which will take you directly to the state website to start your application process.  If you prefer to print out an application to mail in, then click on our Online Links tab up top, then scroll down and click on "Click for online DBPR forms" which will take you to the state website as well. 

    Along with submitting an application to the state, you must also have your fingerprints done electronically.  You can also schedule this online or call to set an appointment.  For online information, click on our Online Links tap up top, then click on the second link labeled "Click HERE for information on electronic fingerprinting" which will bring you to the Promissor/Pearson VUE Testing Center information to schedule fingerprinting.  If you prefer, you can instead call (877)238-8232 to set an appointment for fingerprinting.  There are currently two locations in the Fort Myers area that do the fingerprinting.  These are also the same two locations where the state exam are administered in Fort Myers.  If you are out of state, you MAY be able to schedule fingerprinting & testing for FL exams in your state depending if PROMISSOR/PEARSON VUE has it available there.

    Once you are APPROVED to take your state exam, you must schedule a test date with PROMISSOR/PEARSON VUE.  You can either do this online by visiting www.catglobal.com or call (even easier) 888-204-6289.  They are open Tuesday through Saturday.

PROMISSOR/PEARSON VUE testing center information:

    There are currently two locations available in the Fort Myers area.  Both are located in the Gateway Community.  One location is at the Bank of America building, Suite 200, 11691 Gateway Boulevard.  The other location is at 12220 Towne Lake Dr., Suite 40 just off of Gateway Boulevard.  To reach the Gateway community, you can travel east on Daniels Pkwy, past I-75 about 3 miles, then you will come to the Gateway Blvd. light where you turn left.  Both locations will be on your right less than a mile apart.  If you are traveling from I-75, take exit 131 onto Daniels and head east to Gateway Boulevard.
